With the temperature dropping and the nights drawing it, it’s time to lighten up this autumn - and that means making more of the lighting in your home.

Lighting can have such a dramatic impact on your home, and you’ll soon be looking forward to those darker nights so you can switch on some mood lighting and relax in a cosy glow.

Bedside lamps

When it comes to lighting in your bedroom you’ll want to ensure that it’s soft, subtle and can easily be reached to switch on and off. Bedside lamps are key to creating the finishing touches to your room.  Coordinate with your bedside tables and soft furnishings and make sure that they offer a soft glow with ample reading light, for those cosy nights in bed with a good book.

Pendant lights

Whether you’re looking for a feature and showstopper of a lamp or you want to enhance the task lighting in your home, pendant lights are a great way to achieve both. Consider the lighting in your hallway, does it wow, does it make an entrance? And what about over your breakfast bar or dining table? Task lighting will help with kitchen table working, food prepping, and dining table last-minute homework (essential lighting for any busy home). Hang in threes to create a real feature of your pendant lights – and why not mix and match?

Desk lamps

Add a warm glow to your desk with a stylish desk lamp. Not only does it help you to focus on your work, but it is a great decorative feature. Adjustable lamps are also great as a desk lamp, as it means you can move the light around to maximise, for those late nights working or early morning emails.  Industrial desk lamps are definitely a bit of winner, don’t you think?

Candles and votives

Well, it wouldn’t be a very autumn-focused read if we didn’t feature the trusty candle! Add candles and silver votives to trays to create a centrepiece for your coffee table or dining table. And don’t forget those scented candles for your side tables, to add a seasonal scent to your home. display in odd numbers to create a more ‘curated’ finish to your home.
