How It Began...
Earth Day didn’t start as a celebration. It began in 1970, at a time when pollution was widespread and environmental protections were limited. Sparked by growing public concern, over 20 million people took to the streets in the United States to demand change — a movement that helped lead to the creation of key environmental legislation and agencies.
What started as a single day of action has since grown into a global movement, with over a billion people across more than 190 countries now taking part each year. Today, Earth Day is both a reminder of how far we’ve come — and how much more there is to do.

Doubling Our Impact This Earth Day
This Earth Day, we’re taking that idea one step further.
From 22nd to 29th April 2026, we’ll be planting 2 trees for every order instead of 1.
A small change, with twice the impact.
